About the Authors

Angelica L. Gutierrez is the Program Director of GEOGLOWS and an experienced engineer with an interdisciplinary background spanning physical and social sciences. As Director of the Global Water Sustainability Program, she serves as a water advocate and advisor to academia, philanthropy, and governing bodies.

Dr. Jim Nelson is a Professor of Civil Engineering at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He has been a pioneer in developing geospatial hydrologic modeling and hydroinformatics tools. He is also the Partnership Director of GEOGLOWS. In recent years he has been a leader in the development of the GEOGLOWS River Forecast System (RFS), which provides an 80-year historical simulation and 15-day forecast on every river of the world daily.
